Dr. Mike Loomis and his colleages at World Wildlife Fund-Cameroon are now preparing for the Winter 2012 elephant collaring operation in Mount Cameroon National Park. For the next six weeks, the team will be working on Mount Cameroon—and perhaps one other location—and trying to place satellite tracking collars on at least three elephants.
The team will be reporting back to FieldTripEarth on a daily basis. We'll also be featuring photos, maps, datasets and other resources as they become available. To begin, be sure to see Dr. Loomis's field diary entires, which can be found on "The Elephants of Cameroon" index.
