School Librarians Honor FieldTripEarth The American Association of School Librarians (AASL) has
honored FieldTripEarth as one of the 21 best websites
for learning and curriculum development. These sites,
collectively known as Landmark Websites, are
considered the "best of the best" by AASL. Other
websites earning the honor include GoogleEarth, NASA, the
Library of Congress and Smithsonian Education.

LightBox Slideshows on FieldTripEarth Many FieldTripEarth users enjoy the incredible photographs shot
by our field researchers. The site offers some
2500 photos of wildlife and wildlife habitat from all over the world. These
photos appear in the media galleries alongside the articles written by
researchers and other conservationists. Thanks to a photo gallery technology
called LightBox, we're now able to share photos not listed in the
media galleries.

Desert Tortoise Field Report: Spring 2010 Jen Hicks is known to most FTE visitors as a bat researcher. However, she
recently assisted in a research project focused on desert tortoise populations in
